Brewers and Suppan finalize $42 million, 4-year deal (AP)
NL championship series MVP Jeff Suppan and the Milwaukee Brewers finalized their $42 million, four-year contract on Friday after the pitcher passed a physical. The Brewers announced the deal on Christmas Eve, but it was contingent on the physical. Suppan’s contract includes a team option for 2011 with a $2 million buyout.

Brewers and Suppan agree to $42 million, 4-year deal (AP)
NL championship series MVP Jeff Suppan reached a preliminary agreement Sunday on a $42 million, four-year contract with the Milwaukee Brewers. Suppan must pass a physical for the deal to be finalized, the Brewers said in a rare Christmas Eve announcement. His contract include a team option for 2011 with a $2 million buyout.
